TF35 Mailly Grand Prix concluded on Saturday after two days of racing. Due to lack of wind, Saturday’s races could not take place. The Sails of Change team came out on top with Sails of Change 8, helmed by Yann Guichard, who won the event ahead of Sails of Change 10 skippered by Duncan Späth, in second place.
With remarkable consistency and excellent control during the first two days, Sails of Change 8 claimed victory at Mailly Grand Prix.
“We had magnificent conditions for this Mailly Grand Prix. It’s been a great weekend for the team: we remain at the top of the overall standings and Duncan and his crew are now in second place. It’s all positive — both boats showed great speed, we were in the rhythm, and we got off to some very good starts. We’re delighted to consolidate our position,” said Yann Guichard.

For its part, Sails of Change 10 also put in a strong performance. With four race wins, Duncan Späth’s crew climbed onto the second step of the Grand Prix podium and now sits third overall.
“It was a fantastic weekend to get back into racing, with two great days on the water and a coastal race on Sunday. There are still two Grand Prix to go, and with the progress we made this weekend, it really makes us want to go after more points. It’s a great source of motivation. We’ll try to stay humble in this progression and make sure to capitalize on it for the next two Grand Prix,” commented Duncan Späth.
The competition ended on a convivial note with a friendly non-scoring coastal race. The fleet sailed a course linking Genthod – Geneva – Villa Choisi – Genthod, once again won by Sails of Change 8 in fine racing conditions.
A big thank you to Julien Firmenich, his family and his team for their warm welcome during this Grand Prix.
