Best performance

2012 Jules Verne Trophy record in 45 days, 13 hours and 42 minutes

Since 2001 Thierry Chabagny has focussed on developing his skills in solo monohull sailing in the Figaro class, competing in no less than 16 Solitaire du Figaro races. This depth of experience has resulted in a thorough and demanding sailor, traits common to all successful Figaro sailors.

He finished second in the 2006 Solitaire du Figaro, his best result for this event, and won the Transat AG2R in 2016.

To broaden his skill set, progress and remain at the highest level of the sport while still competing on the Figaro circuit, he sailed with Michel Desjoyeaux on the MOD70, and was a crew member on Banque Populaire V alongside Loïck Peyron for the Jules Verne Trophy record in 2012. With the current record now held by Francis Joyon in 2016, Thierry is seeking to regain the title!
